What comes to mind when you here ‘Maine’? Anybody’s mind go straight to Lobster’s? Ironically, Lobster’s play absolutely no part in this week’s pizza. Instead, it resembles a loaded baked potato.
I found this rather interesting, but then again, we’ve noticed from previous pizzas that the toppings don’t necessarily have anything to do with what it’s respected state is known for. So potatoes it is.
Okay, maybe not. But it does sound pretty good. And good it was. I mean, No, it’s not your typical pizza, but if you’re a mashed potatoes, bacon, butter, and cheese fan….then you absolutely can’t, I repeat CAN’T, go wrong with this pizza!!!
Not to mention that it’s pretty simple to make. Well, kind of. There are multiple steps to the procedure, but all are fairly basic!
For preparation, you’ll want to:
-Fry some bacon, and slice it up.
-Boil some potatoes, mash them up with some butter, milk, and garlic salt.
-Caramelize some onion.
-Gather your cheese.
-And of course, mix up you pizza dough.Once you’ve done that, you’re pretty much ready to go, and before you know it, you’ll have a big platter of carbed-up goodness sitting in front of you begging you to dig in!!Well, I’m not going to keep you waiting any longer…Get this thing started!!
