Pizza #29: New Hampshire

Well friends, I survived the first week of school. The first day was suuuuuper hectic, but the rest of the week smoothed out as we got used to our schedule and routine. I’m blessed with a great group of 6th graders-not just in my home room, but in our rotation pod. Oh! And now that I officially have everything on the walls, a real teacher desk, and computer, I will try to get so final pictures posted for y’all soon.

Not only was this week busy and hectic with school starting, but we also had a couple evenings that we spent with friends. Inbetween it all, we managed to squeeze in a pizza night. This week’s pizza was not only easy to make, but also delicious and spicy.

To make New Hampshire’s Spicy Guacamole Pizza, you’ll need guacamole, diced onion, sliced cherry tomatoes, cheese, and Sriracha.

20130825-163312.jpgWe went the easy route this time and just bought guacamole from the store, but I can’t imagine how much tastier it would be with homemade, chunky guacamole!! {Maybe next time, ;)}

After making the dough, we spread on a layer of guacamole to use as our base, then covered it with shredded cheese. We then sprinkled on the onion and tomatoes before drizzling Sriracha over the whole thing.

This is certainly not a pizza that is lacking in flavor. Between the spice from the guacamole and Sriracha, and the acidic sweetness of the tomatoes, you’re tastebuds are bound to be pleased!

Recipe:

Spicy Guacamole

Crust:

Homemade Pizza Crust

Sauce:

Tommy’s Sauce

Toppings:

Guacamole {store bought or homemade}

Shredded Cheese

Diced Onion

Sliced Cherry Tomatoes

Sriracha

Mix pizza crust. Roll out and place on pizza pan. Spread evenly with desired amount of guacamole. Sprinkle on shredded cheese, then diced onion and tomato. Drizzle with Sriracha.

Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Enjoy!
