New Jersey took us back to the basics with our latest pizza. It was kept simple with a basic crust and tomato sauce, then topped with ground sauce and a generous amount of shredded cheese. Despite it’s simplicity, the pizza was far from bland. We had the opportunity to share our pizza night with friends and family who were visiting from out of state, as well as friends here in town. This simple recipe made it so easy to assemble and pop in the oven without missing out on time spent with our company.
It was a huge hit with all who were here visiting, and was the first pizza to be finished off. Lesson learned: sometimes simple is the best way to go! 🙂 Next time your hungry for pizza, but in a time crunch or staring into a bare fridge and pantry, take it back to the basics and try this Sausage Pizza.
Mix pizza crust. Roll out and place on pizza pan. Spread on sauce, then top with sausage and shredded cheese.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Enjoy!
